Holiday Gift Ideas for Sober People (Online & Local)
Look at you being awesome and supporting that sober person in your life! It really does mean a lot when someone not only supports our recovery with words, but supports our journey with physical items to help/cheer us on. Of course, you could always go the safe route and purchase a generic gift card or something that’s clearly not alcohol but you’re more creative than that! Here are some gift ideas for sober people curated through my own experiences and from what I hear of others in recovery.

Being a newly sober person can sometimes feel lonely. To avoid triggers and care for our mental health we stop partying (of course) but that can also mean our social life gets zapped. Boredom can be the result and a lot of sober people turn to hobbies to healthily occupy their time and mind. Here are some gift ideas for sober people in your life who enjoy creating.

Get Them In The Kitchen
It’s very common for newly sober people to have sugar cravings, increased appetites, and more desire to snack. Sure we shouldn’t give into all of our cravings and should lead a healthy lifestyle but it’s December- time for treats! Many sober people also find they’re replacing booze with coffee or tea. I know I became a bit of a coffee snob when I got sober and I know I’m not the only one. We also love tea!
LaCroix LimonCello Sparkling Water
Yes, these types of drinks can seem unappealing to many but for real, there’s a huge fanbase in the alcohol recovery community. I love these and I’d be shocked if your sober friend didn’t also like drinking mildly fruity TV static.
